About

The shade of this table lamp is a rare and beautiful example of the fine art of "emplomado" glasswork in Mexico. Not simply shards of colored glass--but thick, many-faceted and quite formidable crystals--have here been trimmed and configured to form a simple, spherically-shaped shade. This shade--absolutely resplendent when lit--has subsequently been mounted upon its simple, unobtrusive pedestal lacquered in black. A magnificent lighting fixture that, truly, no photograph can do justice. In pristine condition.
