About the Item

"MILANO" Table Lamp by FABIAN FREYTAG STUDIO – Lava Edition Limited to just 16 unique pieces, the MILANO Table Lamp – Lava Edition by Berlin-based design studio FABIAN FREYTAG STUDIO is a sculptural lighting object that merges conceptual depth with bold material expression. Originally designed for Milan Design Week, the MILANO lamp has been reimagined in this exclusive edition with a glazed lava finish, developed specifically for the studio’s exhibition and book launch during Berlin Design Week 2025. The exhibition accompanied the release of BUILDING PARADISE, the studio’s latest publication — a project that blends analysis, travelogue, and vision. The first edition of BUILDING PARADISE is dedicated to the volcanic island of Lanzarote — a raw, elemental landscape of blackened earth and stark white architecture, shaped by the forces of nature and the lasting legacy of César Manrique. These themes of contrast, transformation, and place are echoed in the MILANO lamp: its clean, architectural form is brought into tension with the deep, textured glaze of volcanic material — evoking both the violence and beauty of cooled magma. ______ * This table lamp is a handcrafted design object. All electrical components are certified, but the assembled lamp itself has not been independently tested or certified. The lamp is intended for indoor use only. By purchasing, the buyer accepts responsibility for safe handling and use. FABIAN FREYTAG STUDIO is not liable for damage or injury caused by misuse or modification.
