About the Item
Murano Due is a lighting company renowned for combining the ancient glassmaking traditions of Murano, Italy with modern technological innovations to create high quality, handcrafted lighting fixtures. The company creates both classical Venetian style designs along with modern, avant garde designs by experienced skilled glassblowers. This may be seen in this 1980s design of the MIro table lamp. It is comprised of two hand blown white opaline case glass parts. Each piece is layered in white opaline over a layer of clear glass. The base is a large round open top vase style that houses a singe standard socket. The second and top piece is cone shape with a large clear amber color ball on top. The lamp measures 7 inches in diameter and 15 inches tall. Very very good to fine condition.
