Model 842 Table Lamps By Hala Circa 1930s - Cast iron base with nickel plated edge - Steel shade -On/Off switch on the base - Adjustable arm and shade - Takes E27 fitting bulbs - Made by Hannoversche Lampenfabrik - Model 842, originally designed for use over a typewriter - German ~ 1930s - 49cm tall x 34cm deep x 24cm wide Hala The brand Hala was founded in Hannover in 1920 and is an abbreviation of Hannoversche Lampenfabrik, their first factory was located on Wilhelmstr in Hannover and then later relocated to Helmkestr in Hannover in 1941. The company produced workstation and office lamps as well as making lamps for sewing machines, the company closed in 1950.
