About the Item
This beautiful and refined pair of table lamps were handblown in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They sculptural undulating cylindrical bodies in handblown reeded Murano glass offering a sophisticated smoked gold hue and imbued with an abundance of 24kt yellow gold flecks that gives the glass an alluring iridescence. The lamps display dramatically peaked bullet form bases. Ascending from the sculptural Murano bases are stacked spherical forms in smoked gold Murano glass separated by translucent bands cinched at the connection points (that are also imbued with gold flecks). The lamps are finished with brass fittings that perfectly complement the tonality of the glass. With their graphic silhouettes, beautiful glass quality, and classically inspired forms, these table lamps are as versatile as they are beautiful, blending perfectly with any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition.
