Stunning Murano art glass mushroom lamp with a closed top shape in a soft pink colour. It was originally made in the island of Murano, Italy in the 1970s by Murano glass artisans. This particular fungi shape and size is a rare find with. This functional art piece was made from one piece of glass using a unique swirl technique developed by Murano glass makers. It has some bubbles throughout the glass which is natural with art glass that is handmade. In excellent condition and wired for North America.
Murano art glass is renowned around the world for its exceptional craftsmanship. The artisans of Murano have developed their various techniques over centuries and are among the best glassmakers. Their unique techniques include Filigrana, sommerso, and more. Murano glassmaking is an exceptionally intricate process and that’s what makes murano glass a true work of art.
