About the Item
Reedition 1939 World's Fair Airplane Art Deco Lamp based on the DC-3 passenger plane and the 1939 New York World's Fair commemorative bottle designed by Rick Ramírez for Derico Lighting. The plane is similar to a DC-3 passenger plane; it has a 14-inch wing span and a length of 9 inches. There are seven passenger windows and cockpit windows that all light up. A swivel joint permits the plane to tilt but not rotate.
The cobalt blue 1939 New York Worlds Fair commemorative bottle features a diagonal banner across the bottle, embossed with the words "1939 Worlds Fair" and separated by stars. The original bottle is 9 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter.
Lights can be switched on in both the base and airplane, separately or together.
This striking lamp features an airplane motif intricately crafted in Art Deco design. Its sleek lines and geometric elegance make it a timeless homage to modernism's progress.
