This exquisite pair of Chinese porcelain 'Thirteen Factories' vases, now converted into lamps, reflects the elegance and artistry of traditional Chinese export craftsmanship. Made in the later 20th century, these scenic vases depict the historic Thirteen Factories, a significant neighborhood along the Pearl River in Guangzhou (Canton) during the Qing Dynasty (c. 1684–1856). The intricate hand-painted scenes capture the bustling trade hub where East met West, bringing a touch of history to these beautifully decorated works.
The vases feature pomegranate-shaped handles, symbolizing prosperity and abundance in Chinese culture. The vivid imagery is framed by delicate floral patterns and bordered by traditional Chinese motifs, all highlighted by the rich glaze. Raised on footed hardwood bases.
Each lamp stands 21 inches tall to the sockets, with the vases alone measuring 14 inches high, 9.5 inches wide, and 7.5 inches deep. These lamps are ready for your choice of shades and are perfect for adding a touch of classic Chinese export history to any interior.
