About the Item

Pair of impressive antique (19th century) French porcelain vases with gilt and champleve enamel inlaid bronze mounts, with cobalt blue glazed ground, extensive gilt decorations and large cartouches depicting cupid and cherubs beside maidens, and on opposite side idyllic pastoral landscapes. One vase signed Rochelle. With later lamp hardware added. Each 40 inches tall with modern wiring and plug, ready for use. The size of the vases are 25"

Originating from France around 1880, these lamps stand 24 inches high to the top of the sockets and 19 inches high to the top of the vases. Each urn measures 8 inches wide and 5 inches deep. These pieces exemplify the finest quality enameling and feature hand-painted Boucher vignettes on the front, signed by the artist J. Lubar.
