Pair of acrylic table lamps designed by Edgardo Giménez, Argentina 1968.
This lamp was sold at Fuera de Caja, Romero Brest's design store, and is a clear example of what many specialists thought, Edgardo was a few years ahead of Grupo Memphis. Federico Klemm had one in his collection. In his words:
”Edgardo Gimenez surpassed himself as an artist and reached a very interesting point where he pre-announced the Memphis style. He brought pop to very pure structures where design prevailed as a work and expression of art that is applied to quality of life."
