Pair of Alabaster Lidded Vase Lamps
About the Item
Pair of Italian alabaster lidded vase-form urns with internal illumination, wheel turned foot and base and delicate carving of acanthus leaves on the lower side of urns and greek key motif to rim of lids.
These are an elegant classical form and provide a warm, soft glow that diffuses light gently and invitingly
Provenance: purchased from a grand Victorian home in the Belvedere Hills neighborhood of Lowell, MA. Most likely produced circa 1920's at the Cooperativa Artieri Alabastro in Volterra, Italy.
