Pair of Antique Jugend Table Lamps
About the Item
A Gorgeous pair of brass Jugend table lamps.
Completely original condition from the glass beaded skirting on the brass shades to the glass cabochon pearls and also the brass and porcelain bulb holders with on/off switch.
This pair of Jugend lamps are in great condition for their age.
They have been rewired with gold twisted cloth flex and grounded.
The new rewiring is the only thing on these lovely lamps that is not original.
They can be fitted with an EU US or UK plug.

Jugendstil ("Youth Style") was an artistic movement, particularly in the decorative arts, that was influential primarily in Germany and elsewhere in Europe to a lesser extent from about 1895 until about 1910.[1] It was the German counterpart of Art Nouveau. The members of the movement were reacting against the historicism and neo-classicism of the official art and architecture academies. It took its name from the art journal Jugend, founded by the German artist Georg Hirth. It was especially active in the graphic arts and interior decoration.
