Pair of Art Deco style figural table lamps of a standing nude lady holding a glass globe.
This model is called Lueur lumineuse and is the smaller version of the iconic Clarté lamp by Max Le Verrier.
The lamps are signed and have the Le Verrier foundry mark.
Designed in 1928, contemporary posthumous cast at the Le Verrier foundry in Paris, France.
Patinated art metal, black marble base, crackled glass shade.
Handcrafted.
With Certificate of Authenticity.

Max Le Verrier
Max Le Verrier was born on January 29, 1891, in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He opened his studio in 1919 and won a medal at the famed 1925 Exposition in Paris that gave Art Deco its name. Later, he established a foundry that cast bronze sculptures for Pierre Le Faguays and Marcel Bourain, among others. Although Le Verrier experimented with other alloys, he continued to create pieces in bronze as well. Le Verrier died on June 6, 1973, in Paris.
