Galey Frères was a French company that was founded in 1896 and was well known by its Art Deco designed pieces which were very popular in the 1920's and 1930's, many famous artists contributed designing pieces to this company. This pair of table lamps with Shagreen (Galuchat) and Nickel plated bronze is a beautiful example of the company's Art Deco designs. The Shagreen adds a unique texture and visual appeal while the Nickeled base and details reflects the sleek, modern aesthetic of the movement.
