About the Item

A pair of Asian bronze urn-shaped table lamps from the mid 20th century, with brown and black patina, mythical animals handles, rooster motifs and calligraphy on lucite bases. Created in Asia during the Midcentury period, each of this pair of table lamps has been professionally rewired for the US and is ready to be plugged. Each lamp features a two-toned lidded urn showcasing reddish brown and black colors. The urn presents a sinuous silhouette flanked with petite handles adorned with mythical animals. The nice torsion of their body compliments the general lines beautifully. The neck is decorated with calligraphy standing out on a black ground while the lower section is accented with stylized roosters and meander motifs. The lamps have been mounted on circular lucite bases whose transparent quality complements the lamps to perfection. With their reddish brown and black colors and abundant decorative motifs, this pair of Asian bronze table lamps from the Midcentury period will bring an exotic touch of elegance to any home, perhaps displayed atop a credenza or a pair of demilune tables.
