A pair of vintage Asian carved table lamps from the mid 20th century with pierced openwork foliage and floral motifs, resting on hexagonal bases. Created in Asia during the Midcentury period, each of this pair of table lamps attracts our attention with its sinuous silhouette and pierced décor. Made of swelling and flaring accents, the lamp is adorned with large leaves in the upper section, carved in low relief. The generous hexagonal belly is adorned with an openwork showcasing delicate flowers surrounded by scrolling foliage. The lower section echoes the top with its low-relief motifs, while the ensemble is resting on a plain hexagonal base. Presenting a gilt finish with nicely weathered appearance, this pair of vintage Asian table lamps from the Midcentury period, professionally rewired for the US, will bring an exotic presence to any home, perhaps displayed atop a console table, a pair of demilunes or bedside tables.
