Pair of Chinese Tang Dynasty Style Figural Pottery Table Lamps
About the Item
Charming pair of Chinese export pottery table lamps featuring figural Imperial court ladies. The figures measure 4 inches wide and deep by 14 inches high. They are mounted to wooden plinths and surmounted by brass hardware and new shades with a block print charcoal and off-white fabric. The court ladies, probably dancers have elaborate robes and headdresses with colorful glazed green and blue accents. The pottery has an intentionally aged patina to appear from the Tang or Han dynasty. Sold as a pair from an estate in San Francisco, CA.
