An exceptional pair of high-end ceramic table lamps, Denmark, 1960s. Sculptural pieces, made of handmade ceramic in blue tones. With a combination of glazed and with new custom made silk lamp shades by René Houben. With warm bronze or gold inner, shades and fringes from Houles Paris. The pair is in perfect vintage condition. The pair is offered included shade! They will be sold as a pair or individually. Approximate dimensions: Lamp 1 ceramic only H 16.5"(42 cm) x Ø 11.4"(29 cm) at base height to top of lamp-holder circa 38.9" (98.7 cm). Lamp 2 ceramic only H 19.7"(50 cm) x Ø 9.3" (23.5 cm) at base height to top of lamp-holder circa 39.3"(99.7 cm) René Houben is a renowned Dutch light designer. René has been designing unique lamp shades for more than 25 years. From colorful and exuberant to modest. For every extraordinary lamp base (carefully selected antique and vintage items), he designs an applicable shade. His custom made creations are unique because of his interesting use of form and color. They also stand out because of their indirect, soothing and intimate light. Houben is well known and loved by interior designers and decorators all over Europe.
