Pair of Faux Malachite Table Lamps by Frederick Cooper Lamp Co.

About the Item

Gorgeous pair of faux malachite table lamps with black silk drum shades by Frederick Cooper Lamp Co. of Chicago, circa 1970s. With a definite Asian aesthetic, lamp features a wavy teal and green porcelain shaped ginger jar vessel with a beautiful mixed glaze giving the piece amazing depth and character! Vessel is mounted atop a dark wooden base with a stylish brass ring. A fabulous piece that remains fresh, relevant, and oh so stylish! Shades are include. #2741 Dimensions: Entire piece measures approximately 32" tall (from base to tip of finial) Vessel alone measures 17" tall and is 8" at widest point Base of vessel measures 6 1/2" square Shades are 15"D at the top and 16"D at the bottom, Total height of shade is 11" Each lamp weighs 9.5 pounds Frederick Cooper was an artist who created architecturally inspired lamps by mixing brass, glass and wood. His factory remained in Chicago for more than 35 years until 2005, when the company sold the Frederick Cooper name, along with their Chicago factory. All lamps are now manufactured abroad.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. There are a few tiny chips at the top of one of the lamp vessels. Hard to see when the shade is on. Please see picture.
