Pair Of French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Rock Crystal & Ormolu Girondoles Lamp
About the Item
A stunning and extremely high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. rock crystal and ormolu girondoles lamps. Each two arm Marie Antoinette lamp is raised by a pierced scalloped triangular base with elegant scrolled foliate feet with fine rosettes and crystal pendants below three curved supports. At the center is a rare and exquisite rock crystal perfume bottle shaped finial with wonderful curved arms leading outwards adorned with a magnificent array of cut rock crystal pendants leading to foliate bobeches and beautiful baluster shaped candle cups. The beautiful curvaceous cage is adorned with lovely most decorative rock crystal and unique amethyst colored rock crystal pendants and swaging crystal garlands leading upwards to the majestic top crown decorated with lovely sprays of additional rock crystal pendants, fine rosettes and an exquisite floral design.
