About the Item

A most important and impressive large scale pair of French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. Vert Antique of Greece marble and ormolu mounted seven arm candelabras. Each candelabra is raised by a square marble base decorated by a laurel chased ormolu band. Above is the mottled socle supporting the sensational urn which is flanked by richly chased 'S' scrolled bundles of wheat spiraling down to the base. Above are the seven electrified 'S' scrolled ormolu arms with extremely detailed foliage amongst buds and blossoming flowers. Exceptional quality with all original gilt. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
