About the Item
This beautiful pair of modernist table lamps were hand blown in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- during the second half of the 20th century. They feature sinuously curved, undulating silhouettes of sumptuous amber hued channeled Murano glass. The base is a convex demilune form that ascends into an orbital center and is capped by an amorphic tear drop form all in rich Campari amber hued and striated Murano glass. With its refined color palate and clean modernist lines, these table lamps are as versatile as they are stunning, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent vintage condition. The lamps come fitted with custom shades, and accommodate two Edison based bulbs each offering up to 400 watts of light for the pair.
