These rare examples, especially as a pair, are the large version of the Magnolia designed by Sergio Mazza and Giuliana Gramigna for quattrifolio Design circa 1973. Made of a chromed metal base and a large white glass light diffuser. SERGIO MAZZA Born in 1931 in Milan, Italy, Sergio Mazza is a renowned Italian designer celebrated for his contributions to industrial and furniture design. Mazza began his career in the 1950s, and his work is characterized by a blend of functionality, elegance, and modernist principles. In 1955, he founded the design studio SMC with Giuliana Gramigna, his future wife and collaborator, focusing on interior design and architecture. Mazza is particularly famous for his lighting designs where he masterfully blends the use of glass, steal, brass and clean lines . One of his notable creations is the "Sigma" table lamp, designed in 1959 for Artemide, a leading Italian lighting manufacturer with whom Mazza frequently collaborated. In addition to lighting, Mazza designed a range of furniture pieces, including chairs, tables, and storage solutions, often incorporating materials like metal and wood to create timeless and versatile designs. Today, Mazza's creations remain highly regarded and sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts, showcasing the timeless appeal of his innovative and elegant design philosophy.

A pair of B.T. promotional table lamps, designed by Duccio Trassinelli in 1971, a founding member of studio A.R.D.I.T.I., produced by Sormani SPA. These lamps were created as promotional items to demonstrate Trassinelli's innovative technique, which involves a low-voltage current flowing between two steel plates through randomly positioned electromagnetic components. The components are completely safe to touch, and each methacrylate bulb holder can be positioned anywhere on the steel plate. In 2005, these lamps were restored by Duccio Trassinelli himself and were acquired directly from him. Each lamp comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a copy of the related patent for the mechanism, also issued by the artist. These lamps, along with related works, are part of the permanent collections at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York...
