Pair of Marbro Seguso Murano table lamps circa 1960
Fantastic pair of vintage table lamps, Murano, Italy.
In varying shades of yellow and amber (honey yellow acidato), these lamps have a corroso (corroded) finish, where the glass surface is irregular to the touch; a technique that was used to create a "hammered" effect. Because of the difficultly in creating this effect, the technique is rarely used today.
The lamps measure 7" diameter at the base x 26" high to the top of the glass x 32.5" high to the top of the sockets and 41.75" to the top of the harps.
The glass is in very good condition, showing no chips, or cracks. Rewired.
