This contemporary table lamp by Bijeen is part of The Podium Series (2020–2021), a limited collection exploring the raw aesthetic of ready-made industrial materials.
The design centers on a Linestra bulb, housed within a three-dimensional curved metal mesh structure. What begins as a thin, flat industrial sheet is transformed through bending and shaping into a sculptural volume—creating the illusion that the light source is suspended within space. The result is a striking balance of geometry, transparency, and material honesty.
Each lamp is hand-assembled in Barcelona and reflects Bijeen’s commitment to experimental, conceptual design. Ideal for collectors, designers, and interiors that value material-driven craftsmanship and 21st-century aesthetics.
About the Designers – Bijeen
Bijeen is a multidisciplinary design platform founded by Barcelona-based architects Marina Lladó and Enric Bultó. Their work questions traditional design processes in an era defined by fluidity, ambiguity, and convergence. Rather than aiming for universality, Bijeen embraces the subjective, the experimental, and the open-ended, producing pieces that reflect today’s non-linear creative landscape.

Bijeen
Bijeen arises from the question of how to understand the design process in this century. Our world today is non-linear, boundary-less and ambiguous. Reality is shaped by elements that are no longer differentiated and static, but mixed and fluid. A wider spectrum of parameters and influences converge in the design process and interfere in it. We escape from the idea of the universal and reductive; instead we aim for the evolving, adapting and subjective.
Bijeen is a multidisciplinary design platform where a conjunction of overlapping and non-hierarchical disciplines collide. The theoretical statements and the materialized elements share the same principles. We believe in an evolving and experimental process with a subjective and open-ended materialization.
