About the Item
Elegant curved brass and black enameled metal desk lamp, designed and stamped in 1950 by designer Ferdinand Solère, who began his career as a graphic designer and eventually became a professor of industrial design at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. This lamp pivots on its base as well as telescopes. A perfect example of Solère's innovative and pragmatic approach to traditional ideas. Lamp takes a smaller bayonet bulb. In original condition with visible wear, including denting and light scratches. Wear is consistent with its age and use.
