Post Modern, Brutalist, Deconstructivist, Sculptural Floor Lamp. Made in Italy

About the Item

The Cassola+Marostica+Brenta+Breganze floor lamp is a handcrafted, one-of-a-kind creation that embodies the essence of imperfection and the beauty of the making process. Part of Jenna Basso Pietrobon's Break the Mold collection, this lamp is constructed from a unique collage of ceramic forms — Cassola, Marostica, Brenta, and Breganze — each named after local towns in the Veneto region of Italy, near the artist's family’s ceramic atelier in Nove di Bassano. Each form is manipulated and stacked to create a new, distinct composition, with imperfections intentionally left visible, celebrating the raw material and labor that goes into its creation. The floor lamp features a natural canvas shade with fringe, referencing the artist’s background as a painter, while embracing the tactile, hand-crafted nature of her work. The lamp is glazed in a natural white, highlighting the textures and forms of the ceramic, and can be customized for a truly unique expression of art. The Cassola+Marostica+Brenta+Breganze floor lamp is a celebration of balance through design, deconstructing traditional ceramic forms and reimagining them as sculptural, functional objects. Each piece is a reflection of the artist's commitment to breaking away from mass production, with every lamp being entirely unique — no two are ever the same. The process-driven approach ensures that the imperfections of each piece are visible, allowing one to see the artistry behind the craft. This floor lamp is a perfect example of Basso Pietrobon's exploration of tradition, materiality, and transformation, offering both beauty and function, while honoring the ceramics of her family’s legacy.

Italian Post Modern Table Lamp made in Murano Glass in the style of Umberto Riva
By Umberto Riva
Located in Roma, IT
Splendid Postmodern table lamp produced in Italy by the "Punto Luce" company using glass made by Murano glass artisans. This is an "atmosphere" lamp and not a reading lamp. The dimmable halogen bulb releases a light that is softened and tinged with pastel colors by the shaded and colored Murano glass. The lamp is essentially composed of two modules: The first is a base in light gray overlaid with white Murano glass, decorated with thin iron gray lines. This has a conical shape and houses the halogen bulb inside. The second is a large shaded Murano glass lampshade. Its concave shape, like an upside-down hat or a serving plate; unlike normal "lampshades" which force and direct the light into a cone, this diffuses it upwards, widening its radius. A heavy black enamelled metal base stabilizes the weight of the lamp making it very stable. The style of this lamp recalls the elegant and essential 80s lamps...
