About George Kovacs
George Kovacs, born in 1926 in Vienna, Austria, was a pioneering figure in modern lighting design. He introduced innovative designs and materials, including the first American-made halogen torchiere. Kovacs was known for his collaborations with other prominent designers, such as Karim Rashid and Ingo Maurer. This ultra-stylish table lamp is in 100% original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection! The steel frame and base shows only minor nicks in the paint the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided. The lamp includes a functioning bulb seen in photos and both switches (with both high and low light settings) work exactly as they should.

Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. No outstanding flaws we have found.
