An exceptional large counterweight desk lamp, Post-Modernist, Constructivist, Memphis, weighted pyramidal base in black lacquered metal housing the transformer, double-adjustable arm using an adjustable counterweight system (red ball), geometric beam head adjustable (red fin) with 2 shutters in black lacquered metal, rare model or prototype by Lucien Gau, creator and publisher, France 1980.
Coming from a batch of lighting fixtures by Lucien Gau, formerly owned by a technician from the establishment, who presented this lamp as an unedited prototype (to be verified...).
CONDITION: In beautiful original condition.
The adjustable counterweight system is worn and adjusts poorly... Without any real consequences.
Wear, scratches, patina of use on all surfaces.
