Rare Asian Dancer Table Lamp Brown-Black-Gold Colored Myanmar Early 20th Century

Small table lamp of a sitting priest made of wood with gilded finish. The noble object comes from 19th century Burma, the priest has a clear look and pleasing posture. The robe has falls backwards over the shoulder casually on the floor. Borders decorated with pieces of colored glass adorn the garment. The red Bolus under the gilding, which can be seen in places, and the patina that has already formed add depth and enhance the character of the object. The lamp construction in bronze was made especially for the object, handmade & patinated oval shade. The priest sits loosely on the lamp plateau and can also be aligned a little there. A very decorative figurative lamp with 2 light sources that give light up and down. Mandalay Period: 1853 - 1948 Mandalay Buddha figure Mandalay was considered the center of Buddhism in Burma. King Mindon moved the capital from Amarapura to this new place and named it the city of Mandalay.
