About the Item

Very rare table lamps from the Swiss manufacturer Baltensweiler based on a design by Rosemarie and Rico Baltensweiler from the 60s. The design of the Guggerli lamps is very simple. The glass sphere diffusers lie or clamp in a tubular body. The luminous spheres emerge through the recess in the tube. The luminaire body is here the supporting element and at the same time a design object. The glass spheres have a course with varying transparency and are open to the front. The changing transparency within the diffuser results in a spatial depth in the sphere. The spheres lie loosely on invaginations of the tube and can thus be manually aligned. The cable routing via the small vertical slot on the back is special. The lights are in very good condition with signs of use and aging (discoloration and slight deformation due to heat and light).
