Set of table lamps in bend beech wood designed by Mads Caprani in the late 1970s for Caprani Light. A fine set for a beautiful home.
* A set (2) of bend beech wood table lamps with pleated clip-on fabric shades.

* Condition: Good vintage condition. Makers labels intact. Both with marks and signs of use. One with a few wet marks on the wood and one with spots on the iron foot. The clip-on shades are new.

Mads Caprani (1942-2014) was a Danish lighting designer. In 1979, he took over his father's company and renamed it Caprani Light, devoting himself entirely to the design of lamps. He initially focused on wood, but eventually expanded his practice to explore other natural materials, such as metal and stone. Caprani's creative journey led him to produce pleated lampshades, which were highly unusual for the time and quickly became a very popular among his clients.
Caprani's vision for lighting design was distinctive and disruptive for the time. Especially the famous Caprani no. 840 Timberline floor lamp, commonly known as only the 'Caprani floor lamp' has become widely popular again, while his lesser known pieces are increasingly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts around the world.
