Spiral Lamp in the Style of Ingo Maurer for Design M, 1960s
About the Item
Beautifully designed lamp in the style of the well-known spiral lamp that Ingo Maurer designed for his company Design M. Maurer designed this new type of lamp in the late 1960s.
Of course, like most good ideas, the Ingo Maurer spiral lamp was copied several times. Just like this one. But there are good copies and there are bad copies, depending on which company copied it. The lamp presented here is definitely a good one. The company that made this lamp still worked with fine details such as an oval globe and a good quality spiral with strong curves all the way to the top.
The lamp is absolutely from the 1960s-1970s and made of a glass shade on a chromed spiral base. It’s in very good condition.
