About the Item
The Axis71 CG01 table lamp, a stunning 1968 design by the famous Belgian designer Christophe Gevers, is an iconic and timeless piece of lighting that continues to captivate and inspire. It was specially designed for Christophe Gevers' first catering project: Au Cap d'Argent, which opened its doors in 1959 in Brussels. Its classic aesthetic blends seamlessly with modern interiors, making it an exceptional choice for both residential and commercial environments. Later the CG01 was also used at the international known restaurant "Au Vieux Saint Martin" at the Sablon in Brussels.
The CG01 table lamp is an embodiment of supreme craftsmanship, design authenticity and aesthetic versatility. It is more than a lighting instrument; it is a work of art that tells a story and invites appreciation from all angles.
This is a limited edition (35 pieces) where Caroline Notté (Architect and interior designer from Brussels) who has chosen Corten as finish. She was a pupil of Christophe Gevers when she was studying at La Cambre in Brussels.

LAST TWO NUMBERED CORTEN VERSIONS AVAILABLE
Interesting to know: Axis71 who owns the rights to reproduce the lighting of Christophe Gevers, and wants to stay as close as possible to the original design of Christophe Gevers. This lamp has only been used for the 2 projects described above. Now axis71 is not bringing s re-edition (there are no modifications been made) but as an re-issue as axis71 applies the original design and the lamp never has been commercialised.
