About the Item
Handcrafted alabaster big table lamp Harria da Argia "Zuloa" 2 by Joshua Linacisoro. Warm light handcrafted alabaster lamp for cozy environments. Made by Barcelona-based designer Joshua Linacisoro. All the pieces will proceed from a Persian alabaster block brought to Spain in the 1960's by grandfather of very renowned stone workshop Barbany.
In search of cozy environments that fostered closer conversations, I remembered the moments around the fire where knowledge and traditions were shared in the past. “Harria da Argia,” gives name to this project: the stone is light. The stone is friction, the stone is love. This collection of luminaires is based on visual research on Basque rural sports, which, in conversation with other traditions from around the world, culminates in a synthesis of four forms made of porcelain and alabaster. This project focuses on the value of listening, as opposed to a digital world of incessant noise. The importance of friction and rubbing in our lives: the touch of skin equated to the texture of one of these pieces; the embrace offered by a warm and welcoming light.
