About the Item
Table lamp model BN-25 by Hans Agne Jakobsson, Sweden, 1960s.
Spun aluminium lamp with integrated three-tiered shade (white inside) giving nice ambient light. The lamp is in good vintage condition. It was refinished some years ago; it is un-lacquered and unpolished. Minor signs of wear from age and use, including small scratches, other marks and minor twisting to the shape. New wire has been installed in white to reflect the original design and the original lamp-holder takes an E27 bulb. The original label is present on the underside. For us this is a nice piece of Scandinavian Modern design.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
