About the Item
The glass lamp can be used as table lamp, floor lamp or pendant lamp. Being mouth-blown, it is unique in every detail and an eye-catcher for any design-affine personality who knows the value of crafts from war-torn countries.
Every batch of lampshades we receive can be the last. Loosing not only an incredibly beautiful object of art but also a cultural identity of a whole region.
The glass sculpture is made from 100-150 mouth-blown glass drops from recycled glass, tied around a metal cage-structure, that's home to the lamp holder. Depending on the shape of the drops, each item is manufactured from artisans and one of a kind. While each drop comes with a rather rough structural surface, the lamp as a whole is elegant and absolutely timeless.
The object is a dinosaur of craftmenship, which - in 2023 - is endangered of being extinct. The manufactury we work with is the last of its kind.
