About the Item
The glass lamp can be used as table lamp, floor lamp or pendant lamp. Use the metal hook adjusted to every lamp, in case you consider using it as pendant lamp.
The glass sculpture is made from over 100 mouth-blown glass drops from recycled glass, tied around a metal cage-structure, that's home to the lamp holder. Depending on the shape of the drops, each item is manufactured from artisans and one of a kind. Every drop is 9cm in length with a little loop at its end which is used for adjusting it to the inner metal cage, that gives the lamp its oval form. They are raw and unexpectedly stirdy but make sure you don't cause scratches on supporting surfaces.
Being mouth-blown, it is unique in every detail and an eye-catcher for any design-affine personality who knows the value of crafts from war-torn countries.
Every batch of lampshades we receive can be the last.
Loosing not only an incredibly beautiful object of art but also a cultural identity of a whole region. The object is a dinosaur of craftmenship, which - in 2023 - is endangered of being extinct.
