About the Item

Majestic, organic and inspiring tall lotus flower brass lamp famously made by the Feldman Lighting Company beginning in the 1950s. Feldman Lighting offered a large line of lotus inspired fixtures, lamps, centerpieces and candle holders of many forms and sizes of which our shop carries several of. This particular lamp is the largest of the lotus flower line. As if born from light - each layer representing a season of life - a ring of lotus flower petals grows in size with each layer down to maturity and full bloom. The lotus traditionally symbolizes strength. It can grow in even polluted waters and bloom, just with light. It perseveres through even the toughest obstacles to bloom. Brass petals are embossed with small lines softening the brass and adding organic detail. They are also malleable and can be gently bent to your pleasure. Black lacquered wood base highlights and anchors the brass elements. Shown with a large black bucket lamp shade but the lamp rod is adjustable so you can select whichever lamp shade style and size suits you for your desired space. Professionally polished bringing back its original glamorous glow and clear coat lacquered to retain that polished look and shine. Works beautifully in any setting from Chinoiserie to Hollywood Regency to Contemporary and Eclectic. This tall lotus lamp is rare and sought after by collectors and fans of the Feldman Lighting Lotus Flower Line. Jennifer Lopez has enjoyed her pair for years. Rewired. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Every surface of this lamp was restored to its original state. Wood base was professionally refinished and lacquered in black as per original design. Brass parts were professionally polished and lacquered to retain the brass shine. Newly rewired.
