About the Item

Tall table lamp from Herman A. Kähler´s (HAK) ceramic workshop in Denmark, made ca 1960´s. The design is most likely by Nils Kähler. Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family Kähler. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of Kähler´s ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the Mid-century period. The lamp has an amber yellow glaze over a raised dot decor. It´s contrasted by the neck which has a matte dark brown surface. On bottom incised with the initials HAK for Herman A. Kähler and number 613-31 and stamped Denmark. Included is a new lampshade designed and made in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and is off white. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards. Measurements: Height with shade: 56,5 cm (22.24") Diameter shade: 32 cm (12.60") Height with socket: 39,5 cm (15.55") Height without socket (ceramic part only): 32 cm (12.60") Diameter: 11,8 cm (4.65") Very nice vintage condition with full function, without chips, cracks or repairs Bulb: For type E26/E27 Edison screw-fitting. The lamp is made for Scandinavian outlet. If you use other plugs in your country you can either use an adapter or exchange it with a plug used in your country.
