Award in 2020, the Tatubepa lamp is a piece with unique and valuable design. It was inspired by the anatomy of a typical animal from the forests of northeastern Brazil called Tatupeba, which is related to the armadillo.
The lampshade is made of natural straw from a native tree called carnauba, forming a singular shape resembling the animal's shell. This part of the product is made by local artisans in Aracati (Ceará, Brazil), following a process based on sustainability and preservation of local culture.
Part of the profit from the Tatupeba lamp is directed to Edisca, a non-profit educational organization working with children and adolescents who are socially vulnerable in Brazil.
