About the Item
This collection has been designed to celebrate De Stijl’s 100th anniversary and inspired by Dutch icon Piet Mondrian, one of the best known of all modern artists. In his work Mondrian pays attention to proportions and good balance but not at the expenses of vitality or creativity.
These rough ceramic objects are constructed by ripping up and gluing back together slabs of flat clay. There is no moulding, this new ceramic technique is visceral, raw, expressive and unique.
