About the Item
Superb and rare tripod lamp by Jacques Biny, France, 1950s.
Its brass lampshade can be adjusted using a ball joint.
In its center it presents an original closed ceramic container whose exact purpose remains to be determined. It is green in color, in good condition and has 5 holes, certainly used for storing pens. But it could be used to put flowers or as an essential oil diffuser. This does not appear to be an ashtray, as the container cannot be opened to be emptied.
The lamp works perfectly and has a patina and signs of wear due to age.
Rare lamp, especially complete and in this condition.
