About the Item
Signed on the bottom with the Zaccagnini crossed squiggle Z mark, this lamps is an example of clean modern design by the well known Italian pottery company Ugo Zaccagnini & Figli. The base of the lamp is glazed in white with a lightly mottled coloring The white glaze makes this easily work in interiors. The base is 12.5" in diameter and 14" high. Including the harp, the total height is 26". The bottom has the Zaccagnini mark in black. New socket, harp and shade. The shade has a linen texture and measures 13" diameter on top, 12" high and 17" diameter on the bottom. Very very good condition with light wear.
Ugo (1868-1937) was an Italian sculptor and ceramist. He founded his company in 1905 in Florence. After Ugo Zaccagnini's death in 1937, his son Urbano took over the company, which was renamed "Società Anonima Ceramiche Zaccagnini" and continued producing ceramics with the iconic "squiggly Z" mark.
