Handcrafted table lamp by Norwegian artist Johanne Birkeland. This particular piece is very unique in its shape, as it requires considerable technical knowledge and patience to build such a form by hand.
Birkeland works under the artist name Jossolini, and all her pieces are designed, crafted and fired at her studio in Oslo.
Birkeland uses traditional pottery techniques to make large ceramic pieces that challenge the strength of the material and the balance of her forms.
Her use of dots and lines is an exploration of how different patterns can influence the perception of a form.
Birkeland is a licensed journeyman since 2019, and her ceramic pieces are in demand all over the world.
