We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning and very rare circa 1780-1800 rootwood carved statue of Buddha which has been made into a table lamp A very good looking and decorative piece, the style is quite neutral so it would look amazing in any setting. This lamp came from Athelhampton House which is a very substantial estate with an amazing history, have a look at the huge sideboard for £20,000 listed under my other items as it came from the same estate sale All my lights are fully serviced to include rewiring, new plug and lamp fitting if required This auction is for the lamp only, if a shade is pictured its included for free Dimensions: Height 61.5cm Width 18cm Depth 15.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
