Vintage Chapman Porcelain Cream-Tan Porcelain Table Lamp with Sculpted Lillies
About the Item
Craftsmanship and the color palette of cream and tan create a calming effect in this Chapman Manufacturing table lamp from 1979. At 31 inches tall, it has a presence that is accented by the sculptural lilies that are on both sides of the piece. The neutral colors allow for lots of design options. The shade is for display only. This is a beautiful Chapman ceramic lamp with a high glaze, accented with a brass base. The sculptural raised Calla Lillies are in perfect condition.. The design is repeated on the front, side and back. It will have impact no matter where it is installed with the almost life-like lilies that will never require an ounce of water. The circumference of the lamp is 32 inches. We can provide quick local delivery if you are in the Los Angeles area. This is an incredible piece from an estate sale auction in the South Bay area. This piece is ready for installation and use for the next 50 years.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. This lamp is a wonderful example of Chapman Manufacturing quality and craftsmanship. It is nearly in mint condition. We cannot find any flaws, and the only shortcoming would be the tarnish on the brass base and the brass band.

This lamp is so special, so elegant and hard to find. The palette is attractive in ivory with leaves in various shades of green and gray that appear to be falling on this vintage botanical hand-painted porcelain vasiform table lamp. This is attributed to Europe from the mid 20th century.
There is a signature painted with a brush near the base of the lamp. The lamp's base is porcelain with gilt trim that is wearing in some sections. The plug is older and dates to mid-century or earlier. It presents well with an added white shade that is not included. It measures 33 inches tall from base to finial and 5 inches by 5 inches wide. The lamp's harp is old and unattractive with deep oxidation, and it will be replaced before delivery unless the buyer asks otherwise.
