The layers of glaze, brown, rust, sienna and white are design genius on this 1960s table lamp from an auction of distinctive, vintage lighting. It is vintage but looks like the glaze just dried yesterday with its reflective shine. The monumental lamp is 34 inches tall and rests on a round walnut base. We think this lamp stands out because of the expertly executed drip glaze. The combination of contour and color makes this the definition of statement lighting with a fun flair. The condition is good, and the lamp works perfectly on a two-way switch.

This lamp is so special, so elegant and hard to find. The palette is attractive in ivory with leaves in various shades of green and gray that appear to be falling on this vintage botanical hand-painted porcelain vasiform table lamp. This is attributed to Europe from the mid 20th century.
There is a signature painted with a brush near the base of the lamp. The lamp's base is porcelain with gilt trim that is wearing in some sections. The plug is older and dates to mid-century or earlier. It presents well with an added white shade that is not included. It measures 33 inches tall from base to finial and 5 inches by 5 inches wide. The lamp's harp is old and unattractive with deep oxidation, and it will be replaced before delivery unless the buyer asks otherwise.

The Stiffel lamp is eggshell color and ovoid shape. The contrast of the burnished brass and the light tan porcelain is beautiful. The circumference of the lamp is decorated with two green stripes.
