About the Item

This vintage articulated work lamp was originally designed by Curt Fisher for Midgard / Industriewerke Auma. To improve lighting in industrial workplaces Midgard developed a range of flexibly adjustable lights from the early 1920s, such as this functional and elegant desk lamp. The lamp has an aluminum lampshade and three adjustable joints - this allows flexible adjustment in all possible directions. The foot of the lamp can be fixed to the wall as well as to a desk or worktop. The lamp was completely disassembled, stripped, de-rusted and then painted in elegant matte black. It has been rewired with new black textile cable for use in US, Europe and Asia.
