About the Item
Mid 20th c., French, a vintage Louis XVI style three-light bouillotte table lamp based on an iconic French antique. The gilt bronze lamp has a green tôle shade adjustable via an arrow shaped gilt brass handle and topped with an acorn finial. Both the shade arms and central column have acanthus leaf decoration/detail.
The combination of the tole shade and decorative casting on the arms and base gives this piece its distinctive silhouette. The gilt is a rich warm tone and the lamp gives off a lovely relaxing light. This is a quality lamp.
